I don’t tailgate when I go to the baseball game, I pull into the parking lot right before the game starts so that I get a great parking space — last one in, first one out.
Do you tailgate?

There’s not much tailgating on non-highways, the only places I drive now. But I do remember riding in the backwash of a semi on the highway. He was determined not to let me pass, so I just availed myself of the reduced forward pressure. (I believe there is a word for it, but it escapes me right now.)
I like to tailgate if there are a group of us going to the game. But if it’s just my husband, son and me, we park in our preferred parking spot and get into the game. There are way too many extracurricular activities to expose a 6 year old to, otherwise.
When we go to a ballgame, we usually park across the bay and take BART into the stadium, so no, we don’t tailgate.
Well, what do ya know? There’s another meaning for tailgating, and I never gave it a second thought. I have never done that. Talk about being clueless!
