Taxes

Have you calculated your tax returns yet? Will you be getting a refund, or do you owe? Do you try to equal out at the end of the year, where you don’t owe and you also don’t get a refund?

I usually prefer to owe, but due to this year’s June flooding disaster, we’ll only owe $89. I am getting a state refund. I can’t file yet, though, because the Charles Schwabs of the world have until 2/17 to get us our statements this year.

  3. I’ve gathered everything together, but haven’t given it to “my girl” yet. We have it to where we don’t pay so much during the year… but we pay so much interest on our home that we’ve gotten quite a bit back in the past.

I’m one of those women who is going to be in BIG trouble if my husband dies before me. All I know about our taxes is when I sign the forms he prepares–and he hasn’t done them yet.

I did mine a few weeks ago, and as a full time student (last time!) I’ll be getting everything back. It will be paying for my trip to Italy next month!
