I’ve always been a fan of the written word, preferring letter to phone calls back in the day, because you are not putting pressure on the recipient to respond NOW.
I still like the written word, but e-mail is certainly more timely. I do not text, and probably I never will. From my point of view, that’s not writing!
You can’t always get to them. And sometimes you need an appointment to communicate with them. Did you ever work some place where you would send a short message to make an appointment to phone?
I would never press people who think they don’t have time for others, whether or not I agree with them.
I guess e-mails, with phone a close second. Texting a distant third.

I enjoy sending smoke signals. It is one of the arts taught to me by an old Indian. I believe his name was Rameesh Gupta.
My wife doesn’t want me doing it. I have destroyed all of our blankets and I am the only one that understands my message.
