  1. do they still grade like that?

  2. Jon says:

I never really liked it although I did benefit from it on occasion. I like mean cranky teachers. If you don’t know your stuff, you fail. I feel like it is “dumbing down” to mark on the curve. Can you imagine being in a class of 20 really smart people and somebody has to be “the dummy”.
.-= Jon´s last blog ..My two cents (muttering and sputtering) =-.

  3. Ronnie says:

I’m all FOR it because I was usually the one who either got 100% and ruined it for everybody else, or got an 89% (still the highest score) and was glorified because I gave everyone an extra 11 points!
    .-= Ronnie´s last blog ..I dreamed WHAT??? =-.

  4. Jennifer says:

All it means to me is that the teacher/professor couldn’t figure out how to test the students’ skills appropriately, so takes the lazy way out by creating a curve.

Don’t even get me started on performance reviews/”merit” raises being done on a curve too!

In college I was always one of the class curve-busters.

    Sha-ZAM!

    So I couldn’t care less. :o P
