This weekend I saw the following movies: Get Him to the Greek, Sex and the City 2, and Shutter’s Island. I don’t think I liked any of them. What did you think of the last three movies you saw?

I’ve been having issues of insomnia, so the 2 of the last 3 I watched were what was available Netflix streaming. Seven Pounds – it was okay, I’d give it a 3 out of 5, Carolina – again, just okay, and Sex and the City 2 – glad I can say I saw it, but would never need to see it again and would recommend it as a rental only.

- The last movie I saw was some gawdawful art film called “The Russian Ark.” Two hours of my life I’ll never get back again (amazing that I actually WATCHED it all, though I did it over several days).
- I watched “The Hurt Locker” and while I can’t say I exactly liked it, I can see why it got the Oscar. It did make me wonder–not for the first time, what in the hell we are DOING in Iraq. When the troops get up in the morning, what is their daily routine in a war of ideology, not territory? And how do they know if they’ve had a successful day?
- And on Judy Garland’s birthday (June 10), I watched “For Me and My Gal” and “Girl Crazy” on TCM, which was running several Garland films that day.

The last three movies I watched were Penelope (cute), Fantastic Mr. Fox (fantastic) and one of the Dr. Who movies (always great, I’m going to miss David Tennant)
I haven’t been to thr movies since Avatar. It was okay. I watched it in 3-D, not so good for someone with an astigmatism.
