The State Fair is going on right now in Wisconsin, however I haven’t been there yet this year. My favorite thing there is probably all of the vendors, I don’t buy anything, but I like to look. What is your favorite thing about the State Fair?

I don’t know that I’ve been to a state fair. Definitely my loss. I’d probably like looking at all the crafts and cooking things. I have been to some county fairs. I always liked the rides – of course, I was a child then.
I don’t think there has been an authentic State Fair in Connecticut since I’ve known what they are. The closest one would be The Big E, the Eastern States Exposition, which is in Massachusetts. I don’t know any companionable person who would want to take that drive, and I’ve never been.
(It is such a joy to listen to someone tell you how awful the food was — picky eater — or how hot it was.)
It is a tie between the baby barn and the as seen on TV chop o magic vendors.
I haven’t been to the state fair in years. I loved going, but with 5 kids everything was too expensive, so we only went a couple of times. I would like to try deep fried everything, tho.
