Now, I regret that I can’t tell you how my husband said he’d come up with the money — unless you call me, then I can tell you and you’d have to promise not to record the conversation — but let’s just say it was rather creative.
What would you do to get the $500,000 ransom by the end of the week?
Buy a whole bunch of lottery scratch-off tickets and hope for the best.
For $500k, it’d better be for someone good. So I’d probably cash in all our stuff, take out a loan on the house, and get chunks from my parents and my in-laws to cover the whole thing.

I’d send a nice farewell note to my loved ones who were being ransomed. No way could I come up with $500,000.
