Did you ever see the Star Trek episode where the Enterprise rescued some people who had been put into cryogenic sleep back in the 20th century? The most powerful one lost the most; he had been a financier and couldn’t fathom a world where his money was useless…
I figure I wouldn’t want to go more than ten or twenty years into the future; at least I’d have a chance. My first thought was to request an e-reader and read some history and sociology. But maybe it would be fun to go back to school.
I would want to go far enough into the future that I could read how history records this time period we are in…to see if anybody ever made any sense of it! It would also be (I hope) a time where things were not so vastly different from the way they are now, as far as day to day living is concerned.
I’m not sure I’d want to go anywhere else. Other than the aches and pains, I’m having it pretty good where I am now.
