The car is on the way to take you to the airport, you have 30 minutes to pack your bags and head to an undisclosed location for a weekend getaway.
Where do you hope you are going? Where do you hope you aren’t going? And what is the first thing you are packing?

Somewhere I haven’t been before, but scenic.
Don’t much care for large cities and crowds.
Pack my passport and my toiletries kit.
Canadian Rockies. I could use some mountain air.
I hope I’m not going anywhere near Irene.
I’ll pack a couple zip-off hiking pants, hiking shoes, a few t-shirts, deodorant, my passport, and my camera.
I hope I’m going to see family — let us say, to see my daughter in Las Vegas. I hope I’m not going where I need a passport, because I didn’t renew it. (Do I have to do the airport thing? Really?)
My meds and clean underwear. I can always buy almost anything else I need.
Utah; I definitely need a change of scenery. You thought I was going to say Arizona, didn’t you?!
Hope I’m not going anywhere that has cornfields, soybean fields, or high humidity.
Packing hiking and sun protective clothing, hat, sunglasses, camera and extra batteries. Oh, and plenty of water and snacks to eat on the trails.
