This is the Weekend Q&A game and this is how you play:
The person before you has asked asked you a question. You’ll answer their question in the comments as well as ask the next person a question. The next person answers their question, and asks another, etc….. You are encouraged to participate often!
I’ll start:
Did you watch the Republican National Convention?

I did not tune in to it; I didn’t expect anything concrete to emerge (except their immovable opinions). I heard bits and pieces, especially since the Gentleman’s kid was assigned the acceptance speech as homework.
No one says anything I can connect with. I lost a lot of respect for a fine actor and director.
Question: Aside from simply changing the subject completely, how do you deal with people who spout politics contrary to yours?
I try to change the subject. If that fails, I’ve been known to walk away.
Do you vote in every election?
I think I missed the year I got married — married in September, still acclimating in November. Otherwise, I have voted in every major election and most primaries since I turned 21.
Have you ever worked at the polls?
I haven’t worked the polls, but I was a poll counter once.
What are your plans for the long weekend?
To watch as much US Open tennis as possible, finish the book I’m reading, and relax.
When was the last time you bought a new sofa?
We’ve never bought a sofa. We’ve always had hand-me-downs.
Have you ever loaned money to someone knowing it would never be repaid?
I never loan money thinking it is going to be repaid.
I love Breaking Bad. Do you watch it?
I love my TV shows, but I do not watch Breaking Bad.
