This is the Weekend Q&A game and this is how you play: The person before you has asked asked you a question. You’ll answer their question in the comments as well as ask the next person a question. The next person answers their question, and asks another, etc….. You are encouraged to participate often!
I’ll start:
Do you think that Back to School shopping is a big deal?

Maybe because my kid’s only 5, but I find it more of a hassle- one more thing to do, than some big deal celebration.
Do you identify youself with any of your ancestoral heritage countries that are not your own? (ie Do you say things like “I’m Polish or I’m German)
No.
I keep a detailed calendar of what I did every day on my dresser. Unless I write everything down immediately, I cannot remember if I’ve taken my medicine, where I are lunch last Tuesday, how much I paid for gas last week or what I did Wednesday before last.\
What do you have trouble remembering and how do you help yourself remember things?
I live by my desk calendar. I can’t remember anything without it, but I’m terrible remembering names, sometimes of people I know well. The only thing that I try to help is running through the alphabet. If “B” sounds right as the start of the name, I try working with that. Works about 50% of the time.
(And, Jennifer, I’m Irish…always identify like that. Amazing how I felt at “home” the first time we visited Ireland, even tho I have more Scottish in my heritage than Irish)
What country would you most like to visit?
Australia.
When was the last time you left your home country and where did you go? (If you’ve left the country before, when was the last time you left your state of residence, and where did you go?)
The last time I left the state, I went to North Carolina for a job interview at a marketing firm. They offered me the job on the spot. I know I’m good, but really, what respectable business does that? I turned them down.
Good thing too, I met my husband shortly after that.
Where are your car keys at the moment? I can’t remember where I left mine.
In the ignition. (My husband’s driving)
What’s your favorite city to spend a day bumming around in?
New York, without a shadow of doubt. Haven’t been back there for a while, but I will.
What will be the next CD you buy?
I have sworn off CDs because the last several I bought were disappointing. It seems that they put 2 or 3 decent songs on a CD and you then get another 7 or 8 mediocre to awful songs as filler. Downloads seem the better way forward.
How much do you care about the physical signs of ageing, i.e. “laugh” lines, crow’s feet, grey hairs, changing shape and what are you doing about it?
Lisa ICLW #63 Your Great Life
I’m getting older, so I look older. Makes sense to me. My gray hairs don’t bother me at all.
Which power would you rather have, invisibility or flight? Why?
Flight would be fantastic. To not need to fly commercial? Or sit in a traffic jam? Heavenly.
What movie box set/series do you own and actually watch?
I love to watch and re-watch Arrested Devleopment.
Question: What is one thing that makes you blush?
Happy ICLW!
Jess (#74)
I once dove into a public swimming pool only to come back up to the surface without my bottoms. Eeeeek! Totally blushed from that one.
If you could send anyone you wanted to prison for the rest of his/her life, who would it be and why?
