Yesterday was foul! 70 to 80 mph winds. Cold (7 degrees C) and driving rain. We couldn’t go outside to play *imagines small children being blown around the playground like tumbleweed* and the cover of the archaeological dig (built in the playground … we hide artefacts in it and the children get to dig them up) blew off and demolished our fence! I can’t see outside yet as it’s still pitch black but the Met Office have cancelled the severe weather warning!

I can not see what is happening today, but i can not hear any wind at all and that is good.
The gales yesterday (thursday) were horrendous. The winds were so strong that when my son and his two friends (all 10 years old) were walking to the bus stop, two of them had to hold down a third one who was literally being picked up by the wind!
It’s still dark outside, but I can hear the wind blowing, not as hard as yesterday. The weatherforecast says that the storm will calm down today.
Two people died here (Belgium) on thursday, and one boy is still fighting for his live; a sixteen year old girl got trapped under a collapsed wall, a driver got a tree on top of his car and the boy got a wooden beam or something against his head while walking down a street. That street is just near to where I work so that could have been me or someone I knew.
Wow. Those winds in the other two comments above mine sound strong! In Trinidad today – early morning, sky now getting light, cool temperatures and all is still. Later will most likely be hot and sunny, perhaps with a bit of rain at some point.
It’s another perfect summer day here in Perth, Western Australia. Mmmm.
we had an ice storm earlier this week, so everything is covered and very slippery, now with a dusting of snow, it should make for lots of falls and broken bones. the sun did shine yesterday, but today we are expecting snow.
Can I have Rodney’s weather? please?? I think it’s going to be a high of 20 degrees here today, and there’s a little snow.
We had an ice storm last weekend, so it is still really icy under the snow. It is about 30 degrees F right now and it feels a bit colder than that. It is snowing, small, soft little flakes. It is very pretty! The wind is starting and is supposed to get to speeds pushing 50mph! At least winter is finally here in Northern NY!
foggy. 59* and 94% humidity. it’s supposed to get up to 75* today. we’ll see. they said the same thing yesterday & it barely got out of the 60s.
It’s actually sunny today in Wisconsin and it is 20 degrees F. Too cold IMO. We have a few inches of snow on the ground from the other day’s snowfall.

Right now at 4:43 pm pacific time it’s 61 degrees F in northern California. Winds are from the north at 4.6mph. It’s cloudy though. No sun today.
Right now it’s 41 degrees and cloudy….brrrr!
