I’m working long hours this week, it’s winter and I’ve got an awful cold. (But I’m doing OK)
Hey, Rodney! Nice to see you back here posting again!
A friend is evacuating her house in Colorado due to the fires. Another had to quit her job because she has MS and just can’t do it anymore. I have no whines today.
My office is closing at some future unnamed date which hangs over our head like the sword of Damocles … originally we were told our jobs would be moved to St. Louis. Now, I wasn’t HAPPY about St. Louis … but I had gotten to the point where I’d wrapped my head around the fact I could move as a last ditch option. Now? The rumor is Des Moines. I am NOT moving to Des Moines … this entire thing is a cluster and office morale (and MY morale) is dropping by the micro-second.
Okay … I’m done whining now. Jennifer is right … people have it much worse … so I’m blessed.
My knees feel like they are 120 years old the past 3 days. One knee hurts all the time, since my bike accident in 2003, but the other one just started hurting on Monday and it was so bad last night I found a cane and started using that. This is NOT the way to start a vacation that is going to involve a lot of walking!
I won’t whine; the balance is toward the good.
It’s my daughter who’s whining about getting a phone call from the nursing home after 10 last night. My husband is not in immediate danger, and I appreciate knowing what’s going on.
Still the same aches and pains; the temperatures are predicted to be over 100 F the next few days. But I probably shouldn’t complain, we don’t have fires or torrential rains.
