Ruth and I play Backgammon. If we’re one all, then she has to play the third match. The decider that announces a winner. Me, I can just leave it as one all.
What about you? Does there have to be a winner? Or is “one all” a nice way to leave it?

We’ve always played till there’s a winner. I guess I’d do that out of habit.

We always play the tie breaker game.
I love backgammon.
I learned because it was a favorite game of Lucille Ball’s.
Now I just love being one of the few people who knows how to play the obscure game on the back of the checker board.
I have to win.

Sunny–my friend, Jim Brochu, played backgammon with Lucille Ball every day the last year of her life. He wrote about it in a book called “Lucy in the Afternoon”)
As for me, I’m fine with a tie. It’s not necessary for me to play until one person is the winner.

I love love LOVE backgammon, that said, I don’t have a board and haven’t played in years. My cousin and I used to play it all the time as kids, and I don’t think we ever played a tie breaker. Actually, I don’t even think we kept track of who won, we just played it all day long. This was before cable tv, when there were only 3 channels and if the rabbit ears weren’t working, or if the only thing on was some cowboy movie, we played backgammon.
