  8. Best: The best thing about winter in Perth is that it’s so mild. A little rain and an occasional cold day. If the temperature gets down near 0 degrees Celsius (32 degrees Fahrenheit) overnight it’s considered exceptionally cold. Day time maximum temperatures in winter are around 16 to 18 degrees Celcius (60 to 65 degrees Fahrenheit) on the colder days. Having said that, winter is many months away. We’re just starting summer.

Worst: The wet days make it hard to keep my bicycle clean and increase the chance of punctures.

so I will go on and on.
The salt. Did you ever have to shovel a roof? Did you ever have the snow so high you could not get the front door open? Have you ever had to crawl into a crawl space with a torch to thaw the water pipes? Have you ever climbed onto the snow bank to shovel it so there would be room to throw more snow?

Have you ever bragged about who had the coldest temperature last night? “It was so cold by my house that molecules stopped moving and life as we know it ceased to exist.”
That is usually my winning entry in that contest.
I will not tell you the driving horror stories.
