Worth a Second Look

I went through my John Steinbeck phase, where I read all his books, but “East of Eden” really got me and I read it several times, including reading it once in conjunction with Steinbeck’s “Journal of a Novel,” which is a collection of letters he wrote to his publisher while writing the novel.

What book did you find so good you read it more than once?  How many times have you read it?

  3. Oh I loved East of Eden–the book and the movie! I never read a book more than once but I loved A Passage to India by E. M. Forster and would like to read it again.

I read all my books over and over again because I read them half asleep at two o’clock in the morning by a dim flashlight and I cannot remember half of what I’ve read.
