Would you ever Wednesday

I can’t figure out what the breed of our ever-growing puppy is. Foxhound? Harrier Hound? Tree Walking Coonhound? Pointer? Jack Russell Terrier On Steroids??? She looks like a hound but has these really silly terrier ears. She’s only six months old, yet she’s almost as tall as my eight year old purebred Boxer! How in the heck did THAT happen?? I’m considering buying one of those doggy DNA tests.

Would you ever do DNA testing on your dog to figure out what the breed(s) is(are) of your mutt?

I’ve thought about it, but they have so few breeds they can confirm by DNA that I would wait until their database is larger.

    I couldn’t see the point.

I don’t really need to with Harry, but I’d do it with a mutt. If for nothing else, it’d amuse me.

Only If the dog was a murder suspect.

The problem with DNA testing is it’s EXPENSIVE. Seems to me it costs about $80. Before you waste your money, go on the Petco site and check out what people have said about it. One person said they had a lab-basset hound and the DNA results came back chow-chow/cocker spaniel. Someone else knew the purebred breeds of both parents and when the DNA results came back, it didn’t include either of those breeds. It sounds to me like snakeoil salesmen are at work here!
